Thrive Time

An After-School OT Program

OT@RiseUpHealthClinics.org

Thrive Time is an occupational therapy (OT) program designed for elementary-aged students who may benefit from additional support in executive functioning, social-emotional learning, and life skills that will enhance their academic performance and beyond.

For example, Thrive Time can support students who are needing extra help with homework, managing big feelings, making friends, or self-care. Thrive Time is a group-based OT program to help students with life, school, and mental health skills.

Elementary-aged students will work with an OT and graduate OT students in this after-school program. The Thrive Time program is currently held twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, at various elementary schools in the district.

Any family who believes their child will benefit from Thrive Time is welcome to register. Referrals are not needed.

Goals of the Thrive Time Program

  1. Recognize and interpret emotions to promote classroom engagement

  2. Transfer problem-solving skills to classroom activities
