About Mental Health Counseling at Bear Care
Bear Care offers no-cost mental health counseling and group therapy. We currently do not bill for mental health appointments.
Patients can schedule appointments online for individual counseling at Bear Care. We offer private, safe, and confidential counseling services.
About our Provider
Lisa Borneman, DSW, MSW, LICSW, is an Assistant Professor at St. Catherine University in the Master of Social Work Department. Lisa teaches courses in Clinical Methods, Trauma, and Clinical Supervision. Lisa has supervised social work interns and license-eligible staff for over 15 years at various sites that serve youth and young adults. In her clinical work with youth, Lisa uses a blend of person-centered, narrative, and solution-focused therapy approaches. She incorporates games and art as therapeutic tools for engagement and skill building when working with younger children.
